Regret

I regret not telling you how I felt when I had the chance. Timing is everything, and it was all wrong. Looking back, though, I wish I’d just taken the chance when I had it.
Hopefully we’ll find our way back to each other someday. I don’t think we found each other to have it end the way it did.

Sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees. Life is complicated and I am assuming that you are here because it is and you feel lost. Sometimes, though, we make life more complicated than it really is. If you and this person belong together, life won’t magically turn things around. Truth is, sometimes out of fear, out of circumstances, we make mistakes, we hold back, we lose chances, we say things we don’t want to say or we don’t say the things we do want to say. Sometimes we wait too long to fix what needs to be fixed because we think that “if it’s meant to be, it will happen” but destiny has limits, we need to set things in motion.
I don’t know your circumstances. I don’t know who you are, but I do know that it’s never too late to say you are sorry if that’s what you need to say. It’s never too late to say you care about someone or that you love someone if that’s what you need to say. Maybe they don’t love you back, maybe they won’t accept your apology, but even if they don’t, you’ll get closure. And if they do, then maybe now you will have the chance to be happy, the chance that you didn’t have before, because of the bad timing. Truth is, this person might have no idea you miss him/her and maybe that will make all the difference.
I am not telling you to speak up now, that’s your call and I do believe that you need to be ready before and sure before saying anything. It seemed to me that whatever you two had was special. That’s not something you encounter many times in life.
